It's autumn!

Autumn is my favorite season of all!

I love the color changing trees, falling leaves, the mushrooms (especially the fly agarics), the days with typical sunny autumn weather and getting home after a walk in the forest and drink a hot chocolate :-)

Polaroid Land Camera 1000

Like I already mentioned in the previous post, I recently bought a Polaroid Land Camera 1000 (well 2, actually, but only one is mine!).

Shortly after I ordered SX-70 film from The Impossible Project and when it arrived it of course had to be tested the same day ;-)

There's still some figuring out to do with the light setting but I'm quite pleased with the first results! 

If only the film wasn't so expensive...

This week I...

This week I...

* ...had a great diner at the Zalmhuis in Rotterdam and ate my first banoffee pie, I don't know how I've lived without it the past 26 years! ;-)
* ...went to the Swan Market in Rotterdam. I expected it to be a bit different but I still managed to buy a few things. Of course ;-)
* ...went to see the musical Wicked for the 2nd time, loved it again!
* ...went to Madurodam, it was better than I expected! :-)
* ...went to the cinema to see Brave, loved it! <3
* ...got a "new" (to me) Polaroid camera! It's a Polaroid 1000 Land Camera! And also bought one for Andreas as it was his birthday last Saturday :-) Ordered film at the Impossible Project which I hope will arrive this week! :-)
* ...cuddled quite a lot with my guinea pig Fender. He's just so incredibly cute and a little sad at the moment as he is having a bumble foot...
* ...crocheted a bow headband and it only took me one try :-) Something I wanted to do for months and was finished in about an hour or something... I'm just a master procrastinator... Now working on the second one, which will be for Mandy (my sister :-) )
* and finished 2 rolls of film. I can't wait to get it developed coming week! :-)

My Diana got a little sister!

Last month we went for Antwerp for a day and of course we had to visit Urban Outfitters to see which Lomo-camera's they had in store this time :-)

As a surprise, Andreas got me a Diana Mini camera :-) My first roll is almost full and once I have got it developed I will show the results here!

I now have a small collection of Lomography-camera's:

- A Diana + (in a beautiful mint green shade, I'm sooo in love with that color)

- A Diana Mini 

- A Fisheye

Some photo's

Oops, long time no blogging!
I'm gonna give it another go and my goal is to make at least one post a week from now on.  I think I can make that work ;-)

I just thought I would share two pictures I took last week on my balcony :-)
I really like (taking) macro/close up photo's but I'm always having a hard time keeping the camera steady...  But this time the results were quite okay and these two are my favorites!

Growing basil

Last week I bought a can in which, the packaging said, you could grow herbs.
I was a bit hesitant if it would work (why wouldn't it...) but is was only 2 euros so I gave it a try.

Now, a week later, the first little leaves have come through the soil and I'm so excited about it that I'm looking at the can approximately every hour to see if it has grown... :-p 

I wonder how long it will take before I can use it in my meals :-)

DIY pillowcase

About one and half year ago I made a pillowcase as a first sewing project and it has been lying around ever since... I wanted to add something to it but it took my a while (ahum...) to figure out what... I had already started with crocheting some flowers but they somehow just never made it to the pillowcase.
Another thing lying around for quite some time were 2 bags of pompoms.
So I figured, why not put those together!

I got my pillowcase, pompoms, a needle and thread and I sew the pompoms onto the pillowcase by hand.
I really like how it cheered up the rather boring pillowcase!

Lomo-photos

This morning I picked up my developed film and the pictures turned out so much better than I expected!
It was my first roll of film shot with my Diana Dreamer camera which I bought in Antwerp last February.
I had seen it on Pinterest before and I was instantly love with the shade of green :-) So when I saw the camera in the window display I just had to get it! :-)

Blossoms

I live in a neighbourhood with quite some blossom trees (well, at least compared to where I lived before) but for the past springs I somehow never got around to taking some pictures of them before the blossoms were gone.

So this spring I went on a "blossom-picture-walk/bicycle ride" twice to make it up for it :-)

I also made some picture with my Diana Dreamer but the film is a the photographer to be developed so I'm still waiting to find out how they have turned out! If there is anything on the film at all, since it was the first time I used the Diana-camera :-p
